Birth of the Lotus Mandap

Priti and Vijay’s Garba and Ceremony were held at the Hilton Orlando Resort and Reception at the Wyndham Orlando Resort.

Priti came to us with a few different ideas for what she envisioned for her day. We decided, for the Garba, to give it a very bright and multi-colored aesthetic that embraced fusion with a strong sense of tradition.

Smita again worked her magic and did additional custom work, designing special colored panels for the backdrop.

Priti is the bride for whom we were lucky enough to design our Lotus Mandap. Smita Patel began working on this one-of-a kind event structure. Her vision was to create a Lotus Flower that could be used as a mandap, yet was versatile enough to work as an event structure for any occasion. This idea was born after extensive consultations with Priti and, after 18 months of meticulous planning and attention to detail, the Lotus was complete.

You can see the waterwall backdrop adorned with fresh floral garlands, which also bordered each petal of the lotus. The garlands, consisting of fresh florals, contained hundreds of blooms. The lotus theme continued down the aisle with water and specially-made miniature lotus florals. Guests were also greeted by a custom-made lotus water fountain upon entering the ballroom.

When the wedding transitioned over to the reception at the Wyndham, Priti wanted it to exude class and elegance.

Her reception consisted of ivory tablecloths with gold scroll sash overlays and beautiful gold spandex chair covers tied with gold scroll sashes from Got You Covered Linens with a pop of emerald green to incorporate the colors of her wedding dress. The centerpieces consisted of high, dramatic florals featuring bright colored roses and lilies and tall vases with submerged fresh floral in colored water.

Another focal point of her room was a custom ice sculpture from Laz at Ice Pro Orlando.
