Amanda and Wasef held their wedding reception at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. We were lucky enough to work with the groom’s parents, Beth Ann and Salem, on a vision that they shared with us for the couple, and we designed a serene, ethereal reception.
Beth Ann and Salem had envisioned turquoise to be the dominant color in the room. Keeping that in mind we used a beautiful satin turquoise tablecloth with a sheer gold scroll overlay to give some added dimension. The tables featured gold manzanita trees with intertwined orchid and crystal garlands and hanging candles with a cloud of rose petals at the base. The custom-made turquoise satin pillowcase chair covers featured a single fully opened rose stem placed in each chair back.
For Amanda and Wasef’s head table, we transformed our acrylic mandap into a archway, filled with orchid-adorned willow branches. Delicate orchid and crystal garlands hung from the top of the archway. Golden manzanita branches with fresh fuchsia and orange rose clusters served as the centerpiece of the head table.
The custom lighting package, consisting of rotating blue, turquoise, fuchsia, purple and amber uplighting, helped transform the room and the couple’s personalized monogram displayed on the drapery, and pinspot lighting gave the room a playful, romantic ambiance.
